The Big Blue Strength & Conditioning program is designed to provide a cost effective, safe, and productive atmosphere for SHS Athletes. The focus is on “core” strength training, in an efficient and effective group setting.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE:
JULY 8, 2024 - August 15th, 2024
The program is designed by Peter Bush (3-sport coach, former collegiate football player, & Wellness teacher at SHS) & Dylan January (former collegiate baseball and current wellness room supervisor). The program will use multi-joint, ground-based movements to produce maximum gains, muscular power and strength. Other exercises will help improve explosiveness, and to train endurance in ways that benefit athletes of all sports. This training is done in a sport-specific manner to help you perform at the highest level while competing. The lifts that we use are not things that you’ll see being done in any health club. Athletes should arrive on time, come dressed to work and have sneakers/water.

- Grades 7 & 8, 3 days/week, MONDAY, TUESDAY and THURSDAY for 75 minutes. Time slot – 10am – 11:15am.

- LINEAR SPEED TRAINING
- AGILITY TRAINING
- PLYOMETRICS
- UPPER-BODY/LOWER BODY STRENGTH TRAINING
- PROPER COOL DOWN

2 Athletes different groups = $325 *(1 Athlete 7/8th grade, 1 Athlete High School)
3 or more Athletes = $350
*Scholarships available based on financial need.
